June Update

Hello dear readers!

I just wanted to give a little update of how my year without new clothes has been going. We're heading into summer now and soon the year will be half over! I've stayed strong in my resolution so far. Honestly, I've been enjoying the challenge so much that I think I may continue it into 2018 (although you can ask me again at the end of the year :P)

What I've been loving about this challenge is that I've really been forced to go outside my comfort zone in terms of what I wear. I can't just see someone in a cute dress and go buy a similar one. I don't go seeking out specific looks anymore, but instead I let the looks come to me, and that challenge has really turned the way I look at fashion upside down. While in London a few weeks ago I did some thrift shopping and found some beautiful items tat I plan to share on here soon.

I've been slacking on my sewing in recent weeks, but I know that will turn around soon. Sewing comes in waves for me. I just need to become inspired by a DIY project or an upcycle idea and then I'll be on a roll again.

I'm making a public commitment here to do a little photo shoot this week of things I've thrifted or swapped since my last post and doing a post about them. I also want to work on putting outfits together so that I don't have to think about mixing and matching so much, but rather have some set outfits that I can go to when I'm in a hurry to get dressed. So you can look forward to that this week!

xoxo
Katy
